Indie Filmmakers Guild

On the 26th of April just before I went to bed I created a Facebook page called the Indie Filmmakers Guild. The aim of the page was to create a community for indie film developers like myself, to have a page where anyone could submit their film and have it posted for a large audience. The thought was that eventually I'd have a large amount of people wanting films advertised, this more likes, thus more people to advertise to.

I straight away got 2 friends, Tim and Kyle to help me manage the page. I went to bed when the like count was at 5, 2 of them being friends, the rest being friends of friends. I was talking to Tim before I went to bed about potential sources of pre made films that we could advertise just so that viewers would not find an empty page and lose interest, this discussion however became irrelevant when I woke up.

35 being the most amount of likes I have ever received on a page, I was astounded to wake up to 68 likes and 5 video submissions! by the end of that day we had reached 120 likes! Here we are 3 days later with the likes count at 170 and about 20 video posted. If you're an indie film maker who wants more publicity, click on the link and submit your video, assuming they follow the terms and conditions they will be posted by us crediting your name, your channel or your facebook page, along with a short description of the story and a video link :)
